Join Wild South staff and Wilderness Rangers for a volunteer work day in the Cheaha Wilderness on May 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This trail day is open to the general public yet you must be 18 years of age or older.
The recent wildfire along the Odum Scout trail revealed several fire rings that need to be dispersed and naturalized. Our group will embark from the High Falls trailhead no later than 8 a.m. We will carry the necessary tools for campsite naturalization and work as far out as we can. We will plan to be back at the trailhead by 2 p.m. and will manage our time accordingly.
Please wear sturdy shoes. Bring at least two liters of water, bug spray, lunch and snacks.
RSVP as soon as you can as we are limiting the group size to 10. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to secure a spot! We always have a lot of fun on our trail days and Kim bakes cookies!!
