Wild South brings “Save Our American Raptors” into Schools for High Flying Fun
HENDERSONVILLE, NC—On February 17th Asheville-based conservation organization, Wild South, will host Save Our American Raptors’ (S.O.A.R’s) outstanding educational program at Dana Elementary (10am) and Bruce Drysdale Elementary (2pm) Schools in Hendersonville, NC.
These unique and experiential programs will introduce school children to the wonders of nature through an up close and personal experience with birds of prey. Wild South and S.O.A.R. are dedicated to conservation through education and are delighted to inspire young people to value wild things and wild places.
Birds of prey include eagles, hawks, falcons, vultures, and owls. Each of these magnificent creatures will be on display as “animal ambassadors” providing children a rare glimpse and close encounters with some of nature’s most incredible birds. The children will see these amazing animals in action as they are flown across the gymnasium to showcase their amazing abilities on the wing!
