What a month!

Just this month, Wild South supporters in NC have joined to hike, run, snorkel, serve and spread their love for the wild!
We’re talking hundreds of hours of volunteer time, dozens of miles on trail, road and stream, and countless good efforts on behalf of our public lands in the South.
To name a few:

  • Interns surveyed Hellbender Huts to study the large salamander’s breeding behaviors
  • Hikers took to the Globe Forest/Thunderhole Creek to see the beauty of the proposed Grandfather National Scenic Area
  • Volunteers ran the Bele Chere 5k, raising awareness and over $250 for Wild South work
  • Over 40 volunteers served with Wild South at Bele Chere, reaching out to the public and raising over $4,000 for the wild
  • And More!
