The first week of June offers us a chance as staff and great group of interns at Wild South to venture to the woods, gather with our energy, passion and joy for the places we all love, and strategically guide the movement forward. At the 2014 Annual Wild South Staff-Intern Retreat, we hosted 16-yes Sixteen!- folks from NC, TN, AL, MS, and TX to the woods in North Georgia.
Jimmie Allen welcomed us to her restful, peaceful retreat at Frog Call in Dahlonega, GA. We could not be a happier bunch at that place bordering the Chattahoochee National Forest and surrounded by waterfalls, the AT and wonders of the wild. We hiked, fished, jumped in the pond, practiced cross-cut sawyering and even did a little trail maintenance during our stay. The energy from that place is invigorating and we certainly advanced our mission, our vision and our passion during our stay. Thanks, Jimmie, and for anyone wanting to get away – check out the cabin, bunkhouse and treehouse HERE.
Here is to a GREAT 2014 and beyond – we are reinvigorated, recharged, and ever mindful of our work, our amazing Wild South supporters and the places we love so dearly.
