Back in the Wilds of Mississippi
Wild South is pleased to announce that for the next twelve months we will be continuing our efforts to protect and restore the Wilderness areas of Mississippi. With its sandy bottomed streams and ox bow rivers the Black Creek Wilderness will once again be a focus for our Wilderness Rangers.
One of last years rangers, Kevin Hussey, will lead the team again this year. Our priorities will be to continue routine patrols, monitor campsites, clean up litter, educate visitors, and study non-native invasive plants. We are especially excited to have the support of the US Forest Service who plans to send down a team to assist our efforts.

All of this is possible through the support of the National Forest Foundation (NFF) who awarded us a matching grant. That means that we need your support to receive funding. The NFF will match every donation dollar for dollar. To make a contribution to the beautiful wilds of Mississippi please click here.
