9:10 AM: Current use of herbicide on the National Forests in Alabama– Eugene Brooks (Forest Silviculturist, NFs in Alabama)

9:20 AM: Why Herbicides and Chemical Site Preparation– Dr. Andy Ezell (Department Head-Professor of Forestry- Mississippi State University)

10:05 AM: Break

10:10 AM: Woodland Restoration/Native Ground Cover– Mark Hainds (Longleaf Alliance)

11:00 AM: Fate of Herbicides and Safety and Toxicology– Dr. Ezell

11:45 AM: Field Trip– Wilburn Ford- Woodland Restoration Demonstration, Shortleaf Pine Regeneration, Q&A.

1:00 PM: Conclude

Directions:

From Moulton, take HWY 33 south towards Double Springs. Turn left on County Road 76. Community center is on left.

From Double Springs, take HWY 33 north towards Moulton. Turn right on County Road 76. Community center is on left.

 

**Note** – Admission is free and registration is not required.  Lunch will not be included, so it is encouraged to bring water and snacks.
