Find a bumble bee, take a few pictures, and help save bumble bees from extinction.

Come and join Wild South in the Rankin Science Building at Appalachian State University for a training to become a citizen scientist! This training will give you background information on the plight of bumble bees in the Eastern U.S. and give you all the information you need to help us search for the federally endangered Rusty Patched Bumble Bee. Follow this link for more information on the project: http://wildsouth.org/home/what-we-do/defending-wildlife/wildlife-research/the-search-for-the-rusty-patched-bumble-bee/

The event will start at 10:00am on Saturday, June 9 in room 173 of the Rankin Science West Building on the campus of Appalachian State University. The training will be less than an hour and we will have time for questions. After the training, feel free to stick around and we can walk around campus and see if we can catch any bumble bees to get you started!
