Wild South’s next hike in the Bankhead National Forest

Hike with Wild South to Holmes Chapel Falls

9:00 a.m. at the Wild South office (map and address below)
Sign up at janice@wildsouth.org or 256-974-6166. Advance sign-up is required in order to limit group size.
Leader: Leah Fountain, Wild South volunteer
Distance: 2 miles or less roundtrip
Level of Difficulty: Moderate (completely off-trail)
All ages welcome! This hike is great for children.
Be prepared for terrain that is rocky, rooty and wet with no trail. There will be narrow, shallow creek crossings.
Bring a daypack with lunch, snack and drinking water.
Footwear should be sturdy with good tread for traction on slippery rocks.
No dogs and no smoking, please.
