Linville Gorge Wilderness Crosscut Warriors

June 25, 2017, volunteers cut fallen trees off the Linville Gorge Trail, central corridor of the beautiful Linville Gorge Wilderness in North Carolina.  On wilderness trails it’s expected that there will be some trees and other obstacles, but on steep hillsides such as those in Linville Gorge, such obstacles cause significant erosion as hikers try to climb over the downhill side of the log.
