DC Meetings

Wild South Thanks NC Senators for Supporting Land and Water Conservation Fund

It was a highly productive week for the Wild South-TN Wild staff in Washington.  In June, Wild South staff and volunteers participated in GO (Get Outdoors) Week in Washington, DC.  Topics during the week – long event included, seminars on veterans and outdoors, jobs and the outdoor industry and DC conservation legislative briefings.  The staff of Wild South visited various congressional offices, including the office of  North Carolina Senators Kay Hagan (pictured here) and Richard Burr to thank them for their support and leadership of the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

Also, we visited with Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) who is a sponsor of the Tennessee Wilderness Bill and presented him with a Southern Wilderness poster in thanks for his stalwart support.
