Volunteer – Asheville Earth Day Hosted by Wild South and Moogfest
Getting ACTIVE in North Carolina with Wild South
We are proud to again host Asheville Earth Day, this year including “Earth Week” with area cleanups and other service events that surround the April 19th celebration event. On Saturday April 12, Sierra Nevada is sponsoring a riverbank cleanup at Hominy Creek and Wild South and Asheville Greenworks are coordinating. On Wednesday April 22, Earth Day, Twin Leaf Brewing Co is sponsoring a South Slope downtown Cleanup with Wild South and Asheville Greenworks. And on Saturday April 19, Wild South hosts Asheville Earth Day, featuring Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Acoustic Syndicate, Sanctum Sully, and more. To volunteer on April 19th with Wild South, contact Benjamin Colvin at ben.colvin@wildsouth.org.
Also, Wild South is benefiting from Moogfest 2014, outdoors in Asheville on April 25, 26, and 27. Partnering with Moogfest and FATE, we are serving beverage booths downtown to raise funding for the protection of wild places. Public lands are the major economic and recreation drives to the area and Wild South is proud to partner with Moogfest to support our work protecting these places for all. *All volunteers with Wild South receive a Moogfest day pass ($299 value!).
