Located at the southern boundary of the Sipsey Wilderness, the two waterfalls we will visit are approached via an unmaintained, rough trail. There will be a couple of creek crossings and some brief stretches of steep climbing. Feet will be in the water at times but hopefully not over boot tops.
This is a fairly short, very scenic hike that will include lots to talk about since the human and natural history in the area is very rich.
Bring a small backpack with lunch, snack and drinking water and $3 for the day use fee at the trailhead pay station.
Neither dogs nor smoking are not allowed on this hike.
After signing up, meet your leader and group at either the Wild South office or at the trailhead in the upper parking lot of Sipsey Recreation Area (where the pay station and toilet are located). Thank you!
