Welcome to Wild South’s Wild Wednesday hike!  This week, we explore with biologist and research scientist Joseph Jenkins in the Sipsey Fork of the Black Warrior River, Alabama’s only Wild and Scenic River.  Join us as we discover what lives in and near the river!  Joseph tells us about the Black Warrior Waterdog and Flattened musk turtle and we’ll use a seine net for catching fish.  Maybe we’ll see a snake…!  The collapsed CCC picnic pavilion is a big surprise we encountered.  Thank you to Josh Levesque for exploring with us and to Maggie Johnston who caught it all on video.  Now, to the river!
